My good day

7:14 PM

It was a good lazy day in my book.

Get up late,

go to church, Eagle Brook Church,

watch the Vikings win, yeah!!!

and learn that Teryl's website (see my side bar for Stillness in the center of it all) is back up and running or at least is public again. Teryl and her family adopted a little girl from Nepal last September. I know I appreciated reading her posts and seeing the precious little girl she brought home. Reading her blog helps give me a sense of being closer to Nepal and the child we will bring home some day hopefully soon.

Shelly & Tim said...: I am not sure if this is where I should be responding, but I could not find an email address for you. We just met with our agency and asked this question. No one knows. The Ministry will not release this information, or at least they have not to this point. My agency put in a request to have some questions answered and this is one of them. I will post if I hear an answer. They said to not hold my breath. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.; January 21, 2010 at 11:14 AM
A Stafford said...: Hi! I discovered that there is a link from your blog to 2 of my friends' blogs, (who link to you too) whom I don't think know each other and it interests me greatly how you know them both!

We brought home our daughter from India to MN in November of 2008 from the same children's home as Brooke's daughter, Nisha. Then, someone who I went to high school with and who is now a sort of distant in-law type relative (she married my cousins' cousin on the other side of the family) is also linked- Tina.

Her blog was the first blog I ever started reading and I was captured by her Christian beliefs. Actually, I remember she used to have tons of things on there about saving money. I believe that was before Nisha came home. I don't know Brooke, but I feel like I know her through her blog. It is so interesting to see how small this world really is. Thank you for your kind words! 10/27/08-Met Santiago from Colombia who was a blessing to us. Meeting him helped us to move forward with adoption and led us to this journey.

10/28-10/30/08-Filled out application and Chose Colombia's special needs program

10/30/08-Signed Adoption Application and delivered to agency

11/3/08-1st education session

11/22/08-2nd education session

1/15/09-Chose Nepal as our country and program to adopt from

2/18/09-Fingerprint appointment

4/9/09-Received I-171H

4/16/09-Dossier sent to Nepal

4/21/09-Dossier in Nepal with in country representative

4/30/09-Guarantee letter received by in county representative

5/1/09-Dossier delivered to Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare

5/14/09-Dossier registered at the Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare (registration #5095)

1/19/10-Met new counselor, Julie for the first time

3/19/10-Updated Adam Walsh Background Study

3/25/10-Met with Jill to discuss China special needs program

4/7/10-Started to fill out dossier paperwork for CSN program

4/20/10-Updated fingerprints for Nepal/was able to use
these fingerprints for CSN program too and not pay extra money!!

4/28/10-Dropped off I-800A paperwork to Crossroads

4/29/10-I-800A paperwork sent to USCIS

5/3/10-I-800A received at USCIS office

6/16/10-Documents sent to MN offices to be authenticated

6/17/10-Dossier sent to Chinese Consulate in Chicago

7/1/10-Dossier sent to China (DTC)

7/5/10-China receives dossier

7/16/10-Letter of Intent (LOI)

7/21/10-Pre-Approval!!

8/8/10-Still waiting for LOA!! Trying to wait patiently...

9/8/10-I800 Form sent to USCIS

10/1/10-LOA (LSC) ARRIVED! (77 days)

10/4/10-LOA/LSC signed-also filled out our visa forms, the DS230 and are all waiting to go!

10/5/10- I-800 Approval

10/14/10- Cabled

10/18/10-Letter

11/8/10-Article 5

11/23/10-Travel Approval

12/14-12/31/10-Travel

12/19/10-We met Caleb!
